JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed the reason why the DKI Provincial Government is financing the process of maintenance and burial of victims of the Terra Drone building fire that occurred on Tuesday, December 9.

According to Pramono, if you don't pay attention to the condition of the victim of the incident, the image of the DKI Provincial Government has the potential to be viewed negatively by the public. Given, this fire incident occurred in the capital city.

"Yes, this is a disaster, a disaster. (If) not responsible, wrong. Some are also responsible," Pramono said in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 10.

Pramono claimed that he wanted people who were victims of fires, riots, or other disasters to feel the presence of the government so that the recovery of the victim's physical and psychological condition was the main thing.

"This is a leadership character that I lead in Jakarta. So if there is an incident like in SMA (Negeri 72 Jakarta) which at that time, or yesterday in the fire, if it is still responsible, we will try," explained Pramono.

In addition, Pramono said he would order his staff to check building safety standards in all buildings in Jakarta.

Pramono assessed that the factors that exacerbated the fire incident in buildings in Jakarta, including in the Terra Drone, were due to the change in the building's construction structure which then violated the requirements for a building's function-worthy certificate (SLF).

"Well, yesterday's building, the building was growing. The left is the old building, the only building grows, so it's definitely not fulfilled in full," said Pramono.

Based on his field reviews after the incident, as well as discussions with the Central Jakarta Police Chief and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, Pramono knew that the Terra Drone building did not comply with standard building safety rules.

According to Pramono, the physical condition of the storage building and the sale of these drones showed strong indications that safety standards had not been met since the beginning of the construction.

He highlighted the structure of the building that did not comply with the provisions and lack of emergency rescue facilities, which ultimately had a fatal impact when the fire appeared and smoke filled the room quickly.

"If I look at the structure and so on, they will definitely break the rules. Why? The stairs are very small, and that's what causes some people who can't go down," he added.
