Stepfather Aniaya Anak Because His Wife Did Not Pay Attention To Him

JAKARTA - A 6-year-old boy became a victim of abuse by a stepfather with the initials WK and his biological mother with the initials OS at a house in the Matraman area, East Jakarta.

The violence against children occurred within 2 years from 2024 to 2025. The last perpetrator carried out the violence in November 2025.

"The perpetrator is the stepfather and biological mother. The stepfather is jealous of the victim because his wife's attention is greater to the victim than him," said Head of PPA East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Sri Yatmini, Monday, December 8, 2025.

AKP Sri explained that the perpetrator's acts of violence were carried out in a brutal manner against the victim.

"The suspect committed brutal violence until the victim's child suffered quite extraordinary injuries," he said.

Currently, the victim is given assistance for psychological recovery and is placed in a safe house.

"The child is under our protection," he said.

Currently, the two suspects are still in the detention cell of the East Jakarta Metro Police.

"The two perpetrators have been detained at the East Jakarta Metro Police," he said.

To account for their actions, the two suspects with the initials WK and OS were threatened with imprisonment for 10 years plus a third of the basic threat because the perpetrators of power relations and fines were 30 million.
