JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) temporarily closed the operation of the kitchen of the South Meruya Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), West Jakarta, due to the suspicion that 20 students of SDN 01 Meruya Selatan were poisoned by the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu.
"We are temporarily closed until the results of the Labkesda come out. We also continue to follow the food safety operational SOP (standard operating procedure) from BGN," said Head of SPPG Meruya Selatan, Satria Jayaputra, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 3.
Meanwhile, SDN Meruya Selatan 01 also stopped the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program for 10 days for the same reason.
"So, for the time being, it has been dismissed for approximately 10 days," said Deputy Head of SDN Meruya Selatan 01, Nur Syamsiyah.
Although 20 students received medical treatment after eating the MBG menu produced by SPPG Meruya Selatan on Wednesday (29/10), Nur could not confirm that the incident was poisoned by the MBG menu.
"It is still in the process of being investigated. So, until now we also cannot sentence it to poisoning or not, because we have not received the results," said Nur.
Previously, as many as 20 students of SDN Meruya Selatan 01, Kembangan, West Jakarta, were suspected of having been poisoned after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu.
Head of SDN Meruya Selatan 01, Siti Sofyatun said the incident occurred on the third day of her school receiving MBG, to be precise Wednesday (29/10).
Indications of poisoning can be seen when 20 children show symptoms of nausea and dizziness after eating the MBG menu consisting of noodles, soy sauce eggs, airs and several other menu items.
"Seven people went to the hospital, because at that time the Kembangan Health Center was full. So, finally we were advised to go to the Kembangan Hospital. At school, the 13 children were treated by doctors. This means that they are not serious," said Siti.
