This Is The Track Record Of The OPM That Controls Kampung Soanggama

The TNI secured evidence while controlling and seizing the Kodap VIII/Soanggama Headquarters led by Undius Kogoya in Soanggama/ANTARA/HO-Habema Operations Task Force/am Village.

JAKARTA - Commander of the Habema Koops Media Task Force Lt. Col. Inf. Iwan Dwi Prihartono said the OPM Kodap VIII Soanggama group led by Undius Kogoya, which previously controlled the village of Soanggama, had a track record of attacks on members of the TNI and the community.

During 2025, this group carried out various attacks as follows.

2. Attacks on the public

March 18, 2025 Mamba Village, Sugapa: The shooting of civilian Michael Wattimena caused serious gunshot wounds.

Confessions July 25, 2025, Wandoga Village: The shooting of an immigrant Joni Hendra caused the victim to die.

11, 2025 Dugusiga Village: OPM led by Guspi Waker and Joshua Waker shot PT TJP employee Anselmus Arfin to death.

Andi continued, now the TNI has succeeded in responding to the attack by crushing the OPM led by Undius Kogoya when he seized Soanggama Village.

There were 14 of the 30 OPM members who died in the race operation. With this action, Iwan hopes that residents in Soanggama can feel safer and more comfortable in their activities.

Chronology

As reported by ANTARA, the village struggle began when Operations Command Habema Kogabwilhan III moved to Soanggama Village, Tuesday (14/10) night.

The task force then arrived at the village area the next day at around 05.30 WIT. When the task force arrived, the OPM immediately carried out an attack so that the armed contact with the TNI could no longer be avoided.

After a few hours of armed contact, the TNI finally managed to reduce the attack by OPM members.

"At 12.00 WIT the situation was successfully controlled and the OPM group was successfully beaten back," said Iwan.

Iwan continued, of the 30 OPM members who had been in control of the village, 14 people were declared dead, the rest were suspected of running away after gunfire.

After confirming that the gun battle was completed, the task force immediately moved into the village to ensure the safety of the residents inside.

Iwan also ensured that no civilians were victims after the gun battle.

After checking the safety of residents, the TNI then examined several parts of the village to confiscate OPM's belongings.

"We confiscated one homemade firearm and four air rifles, a munisist of various calibers one, a screenshot of Simons, a Newcon binoculars," explained Iwan.

"We also confiscated documents from the OPM organization, the attributes of the Morning Star, communication equipment, and various field equipment belonging to the separatist group," said Iwan.
