Presidential Defense Advisor: Student-Labor Demonstration There Are Those Who Ride

JAKARTA - Special Advisor to the President for National Defense Affairs, General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, stated that the demonstration of students and laborers was basically pure to express their aspirations.

However, the former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) of the 33rd, reminded that there is a possibility that certain parties are trying to take advantage of the situation to cause chaos.

"I have confidence that they must only convey their aspirations. However, there are certain parties who take advantage of the situation," Dudung said when he arrived at the Presidential Palace complex to fulfill the invitation for a meeting with President Prabowo, Jakarta, Thursday, which was confiscated by Antara.

Dudung said that identifying who was behind the chaos was not his authority. He left it entirely to the police to carry out an investigation.

"If I only hear about it, but we can't be held accountable. What we know better is the police," he said.

When asked whether the party in question came from within the country or abroad, Dudung did not rule out the possibility of both.

"It could be from the inside, or from the outside," he said.
