"We are still going to confirm first, who is the person who distributed the money," said Head of Tulungagung Municipal Police and Satpol PP Enforcement, Artista Nindya Putra, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 28.
He admitted that he had received a number of complaints from the public. A video showing someone squandering money for the citizens to fight over, sparked the crowd.
Residents are also worried about the transmission of the COVID-19 outbreak, due to the intense touch between citizens who are involved in the crowd.
The initial step that will be carried out by Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) is to check the accuracy of the video that is suspected of violating the health protocol.
"We are trying to summon the person as soon as possible. Moreover, the video is already viral, residents can clearly see the violation," said Artista Nindya.
The short video circulating on social media is 15 seconds long. In the video, a man is shown handing out money to children and adults, causing a crowd.
In the video, the voice of the MC can also be heard calling the actor who distributes the money as "Pak Kades" (Mr. Head of Village).
