Heavy Rain Since Night, 105 RTs In Jakarta Are Flooded

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded 105 RTs flooded due to heavy rains that have occurred since night. The worst condition in the Cawang Village area with a water level of up to three meters.

"BPBD noted that currently the inundation occurred in 105 RTs," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta, Isnawa Adji to reporters, Tuesday, March 4.

This condition is based on BPBD data as of 12.00 WIB. So, hundreds of flood points can be reduced or vice versa.

It was indicated that 12 RTs experienced flooding in the West Jakarta area with water levels ranging from 30 to 100 centimeters. Then, for South Jakarta, 46 RTs were flooded with the worst in the Cipulir area.

"The puddle occurred in one RT in Cipulir Village with a height of 200 centimeters due to the overflow of the Pesanggrahan River," he said.

Furthermore, flooding also occurred in 47 RTs located in the East Jakarta area. The worst point was in Cawang Village with a water level of 320 centimeters.

As a result of the flood, hundreds of people fled. It was recorded that there were 16 refugee locations scattered in the Jakarata area.

"The DKI BPBD appeals to the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," said Isnawa.
