Romanian Caucasians Trapped In Landslide At The Segara Kidul Nusa Penida Temple Cliff

KLUNGKUNG - A foreign national (WNA) from Romania named Sebastian Arbus (27) was trapped by a landslide on the cliff of Pura Segara Kidul, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali.

Cakra Negara said that initially foreigners wanted to go to the spring there.

"But suddenly he heard a rumbling sound and suddenly the side of the cliff he had previously gone through a landslide," said Cakra, Thursday, January 9.

Shortly after the incident, the victim screamed for help, and happened to be an eye witness crossing using a speedboat in Mata Point Waters, Nusa Penida.

"Speedboat who passes by sees and tries to get closer and provides help, but because of the large waves it is too risky if he has to swim," he added.

Witnesses then contacted the Nusa Penida Search and Rescue Alert Unit. A total of 12 personnel from the Nusa Penida Police arrived and evacuated the victims assisted by residents.

"Finally, the foreigner was successfully evacuated at around 17.15 WITA in a safe condition and was able to go straight back to the inn," he said.
