JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is waiting for the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto to fulfill the investigator's summons. Moreover, Hasto stated that he would obey the legal process that was running in several statements.
This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika after Hasto asked for a reschedule because he could not fulfill the call today.
"I think HK's brother on several occasions has stated that he will obey the process, his party will also respect the ongoing legal procedures and processes," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, January 6.
"I think we'll just have to wait, we'll follow," he continued.
Even so, Tessa has not been able to submit a reschedule to Hasto. He said investigators would arrange it.
"What is clear is that the person concerned is definitely rescheduled. It is certain that it is rescheduled possibly above the 10th (January, ed)," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.
Confirmation of Hasto's absence from the KPK office was conveyed by Ronny B. Talapesy as Chair of the PDIP DPP for Legal Reform. According to him, this summons coincided with the PDIP Anniversary series.
"Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto has not been able to fulfill the summons today because there is a series of PDIP Anniversary activities that have been scheduled previously," said Ronny in a written statement.

As previously reported, Hasto Kristiyanto, who is the Secretary General of PDIP, has been named a suspect by the KPK together with Donny Tri Istiqomah, PDIP cadres and lawyers, regarding the alleged bribery of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR.
Both are suspected of bribing former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to smooth Harun Masiku's move to become a member of the council.
In addition, Hasto was also charged as a suspect in the investigation. He allegedly asked Harun Masiku to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.
Although not yet detained, the KPK has prevented Hasto and Donny from leaving the country for six months. A similar prohibition was also imposed on the former Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), Yasonna H. Laoly, who was also mentioned in this case.
