Lawyers Claim Hasto Kristiyanto Will Visit KPK Next Monday

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) is claimed to be visiting the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Monday, January 13. His attorney, Johannes Tobing, said that his client had received a second summons.

"(The summons, ed) we have received it. Later on January 13 (January, ed)," Johannes told reporters after monitoring the KPK search activities at Hasto's house in Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday, January 7.

Hasto said he would attend to fulfill the investigator's summons. The investigator should have been questioned by investigators as a suspect on Monday, January 6.

However, Hasto was not present because there was a series of PDIP Anniversary which was scheduled first. So, he asked for a reschedule.

Previously reported, the KPK has named PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah as PDIP cadres and lawyers as suspects in alleged bribery related to the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR. They are suspected of participating in bribing former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to smooth out Harun Masiku's steps to become a member of the council.

In addition, Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He allegedly carried out a number of ways to make the case unfinished, one of which asked Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was held.

In this case, a number of witnesses have also been summoned. Among them are former Director General of Immigration Ronny Sompie to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.
