Not Only Allegations Of ASDP Corruption, BPKP Lamban Calculates State Losses In The Trans Sumatra Toll Road Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has not yet detained the suspect in the corruption case of land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) carried out by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in 2018-2020. The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) is said to have not carried out its duties to calculate state losses.

Similar to the alleged corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, BPKP has not issued a letter of assignment to carry out the calculation of state losses.

"Not only ASDP, BPKP's letter of assignment to calculate state losses in the JTTS case has not yet been issued," he said, Friday night, January 3.

The same source said that BPKP argued that this assignment letter was waiting for the process of filing an appeal for the company's civil lawsuit involved in this case.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika has not responded to this information. However, on different occasions, he agreed that BPKP had not issued a letter of assignment to calculate state losses in the SKU corruption case and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by ASDP.

"Currently, the information we have received from investigators is that there has been no letter of assignment to calculate state losses from BPKP," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday afternoon, December 3.

This condition makes the anti-corruption commission consider other options, continued Tessa. Including using an internal forensic accountant to calculate state losses in the corruption case of the SKU process and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by ASDP.

As for the corruption case in the procurement of JTTS land, the KPK has named PT Sanitarindo Tangsel Jaya (STJ) as a corporate suspect. This step was known from the results of the examination submitted by Tessa on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

"Investigators are exploring the role of the suspect PT STJ in the sale of land (in Bakauheni and Kalianda Lampung) to PT Hutama Karya and irregularities in the land acquisition procedure," he said in a written statement at the time.

In addition, the KPK named three people as suspects, namely BP as the former President Director of PT Hutama Karya; former Head of the Division of PT Hutama Karya; and IZ from the private sector in the JTTS land acquisition corruption case. However, they have not been detained until now.

Requests for prevention abroad to the Directorate General of Immigration have also been made against the former President Director of PT Hutama Karya Bintang Perbowo, employees of PT Hutama Karya M. Rizal Sutjipto, and Commissioner of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya Iskandar Zulkarnaen.

However, Iskandar Zulkarnaen has passed away. The KPK then decided to investigate allegations of corruption by focusing on asset recovery or recovering state losses.
