Three New Models Of Toyota Gazoo Racing Launch Today In Malaysia

Toyota opened 2025 with a series of new models launchings in Malaysia at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Season 7, which took place today at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Monday, January 6, one of the models launched was GR Yaris, which was previously exhibited at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024. Toyota GR Yaris is priced at 315,600 ringgit or around Rp1.1 billion.

Previously this model only provided a manual transmission option, now it has come with automatic options. In addition to gyrboks, G16E-GTS has a larger power and torque where it is in 300 PS and 400 Nm, an increase of 39 PS and 40 Nm from European spectral machines.

Toyota GR Yaris comes with the choice of Drive Mode Select, which is a new thing including power steering electronics, air conditioning, and power train changing according to Sport, Normal, or Eco modes.

In addition to the models above, Toyota also presents the latest Glolla GR in Malaysia. This also updated hatchback car gets a lot of the same performance improvements as its smaller brother, along with a revised exterior design.

For the price, those who want the model to have to spend 367,000 ringgit or around Rp. 1.3 billion or more expensive than GR Yaris.

This one car comes with a three-cylinder turbocharged G16E-GTS 1.6 liter engine. This engine has been slightly upgraded, and although its power remains at 300 PS at 6,500 rpm (4 PS lower than in the international market), peak torques have been increased by 30 Nm to 400 Nm, generated between 3,250 and 4,600 rpm.

Furthermore, there is the Toyota Corolla GR Sport 2025 and to propose this car, you have to spend 149,800 ringgit or around Rp538 million. There are various changes presented, including now getting a leather seat and an upgraded GR Sport suede, and an increased infotainment display. This car comes with a 2ZR-FE 1.8 liter Dual VVT-i engine, which produces power in 139 PS and 172 Nm.
