There Was A Gas Balloon Explosion On New Year's Eve At The HI Roundabout

JAKARTA - The explosion of gas balloons occurred during the celebration of the New Year's Eve 2025 in the HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta. The explosion of gas balloons that were allegedly triggered by fireworks was viralized by the Instagram account @dki360.

Dalam rekaman video viral terlihat, beberapa kat balon yang terbang di udara membuat hingga menimbulkan bola api.

The balloon explosion occurred twice. In the explosion, the two fireballs looked large enough to cause panic among New Year's Eve visitors in the HI Roundabout area.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro confirmed that there were no burns as a result of the gas balloon explosion.

"There are no reports of burnt victims. We'll check again later," said Susatyo when confirmed, Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Susatyo said the situation in the Sudirman-Thamrin area was observed to be conducive until 02.00 WIB.

"Until residents left the HI Roundabout at around 02.00 WIB the situation was conducive," he said.

Susatyo admitted that several visitors were being treated at the health post due to fatigue.

However, all visitors who are being treated can return home when the New Year's Eve celebrations end.

"Data that was treated due to fatigue from 13 stages. Everyone who is being treated at the health post can go home," he said.
