JAKARTA - Candidate for governor of Jakarta number 2, Dharma Pongrekun has cast his voice at the Voting Station (TPS) 31 Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta. He said this was the first time he had voted.

Meanwhile, Dharma came to the TPS at around 10.30 WIB. He had shaking hands with a number of residents who were also present to vote

"Honestly, this is the first time I have voted in my life," Dharma told reporters, Wednesday, November 27.

Dharma explained that he had never voted because he was a member of the National Police.

"That's why it's a bit slow to pass, because I used to only be in charge of guarding now when God gave me the opportunity to participate in the struggle to save the people," he said.

"I'm the one God wants," continued Dharma.

Dharma admitted that he had not communicated with his deputy, Kun Wardana. It is known, Kun has a different location at TPS 30 Ciganjur.

"This morning we didn't have any communication, it went like running water. Don't go for fun, you'll get old soon," he said with a smile.

Dharma handed over the results of the Jakarta gubernatorial election to God. However, Dharma believes the people are aware of his struggle with Kun Wardana.

He conveyed this after seeing the enthusiasm of the residents when heading to the TPS. "People are starting to realize that what we are fighting for is their basic need," he said.

"It's useless to go forward, it's useless to turn on if there's no security. In our life, a decent city environment must have safe conditions, secondly healthy, thirdly prosperous, fourthly harmonious, and the fifth is always safe and proper. If the Indonesian people want to live a prosperous and safe life, let's join. Not to me, the people are only one compact, although now they are still divided, hopefully the pragmatic spirit will be abandoned soon. Let's not culture to beg, wait for people's gifts.
