Buy Pertalite Fuel Using Dozens Of Jerry Cans, Wonosobo Residents Arrested By Police

JATENG - The Wonosobo Resort Police (Polres) detained a subsidized Pertalite fuel buyer (BBM) using dozens of jerry cans at the Gontor gas station.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Wonosobo Police, AKP Arif, said that the detained person named Latif Hidayah, a resident of Wonokampir Village, Watumalang District, Wonosobo.

"We arrested the perpetrator because he was proven to have purchased subsidized fuel using dozens of jerry cans," he said in Wonosobo, Friday, November 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that the arrest of this perpetrator was based on complaints from people who had difficulty buying Pertalite fuel at several gas stations, even though Pertamina routinely sent supplies to gas stations.

"Following up on the complaint, the team then conducted an investigation and found the perpetrator's actions," he said.

He conveyed that in carrying out the action, the perpetrators moved gas stations to buy this subsidized fuel with a total of 1,320 liters.

"By the perpetrators, the fuel was sold retail and other retailers were also taken, earning a profit of Rp1,000 per liter," he said.

He conveyed that the perpetrators were charged with Article 55 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas, with a penalty of six years in prison.

The Wonosobo Police also conducted an examination of the owner and manager of the gas station regarding the alleged cooperation with the perpetrators of buying subsidized fuel using jerry cans.
