JAKARTA - The death toll from the floods in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has now reached 124 people. 74 people are still missing.

Head of the Disaster Management Agency for Disaster Management of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Raditya Jati explained the progress of the evacuation of flood victims as of 14.00 p.m. local time.

"Of the 124 people who died, 67 people were from East Flores Regency, 28 people from Lembata, 21 people from Alor Regency, 3 people from Malacca Regency, 2 from Sabu Raijua Regency, 1 from Kupang City, 1 from Ende, and 1 from the Regency. There are still 74 people who are missing and are in search. Based on the reports received, 6 people disappeared from East Flores, 44 people from Lembata, and 24 people from Alor Regency.

In addition, as many as 129 people were injured. A total of 668 houses were severely damaged, 272 houses were moderately damaged, 154 houses were slightly damaged. Then, 87 public facilities were heavily damaged and 24 were heavily damaged.

There are dozens of areas that are still isolated. It was recorded that 6 villages in Malacca Regency had broken bridges.
