Lebanese PM Condemns Israeli Attack That Killed 3 Journalists, Alludes To The Silence Of The International World

JAKARTA - Lebanese interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued a strong statement condemning the Israeli attack on journalists in the southern Lebanese city of Hasbaya.

Mikati described it as another bab' in war crimes committed by Israel without any prevention or international votes to impose punishment for the act.

Mikati insists the Israeli attack was a deliberate attempt to intimidate the media and obscure ongoing crimes and destruction.

Mikati has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to add this incident to Lebanese documents regarding Israel's alleged crimes, which will be submitted to international authorities, and expressed hope about the conscience of the international world for interference.

Meanwhile, the Journalists Protection Committee (CPJ) also issued a statement condemning Israel for the murder of three journalists in Hasbaya.

Reportedly, a broadcast cameraman and technician working for Lebanese-based Al Mayadeen TV channel were killed.

Another cameraman who works for a Hezbollah-affiliated TV channel, Al-Manar, was also killed, the outlet said.

The Israeli military told CNN they were investigating the report.
