President Biden Says Trump Is A Threat To Democracy And Must Be Arrested Politically

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden said on Tuesday, Republican presidential candidates pose a threat to Democracy and should be locked up "politically," as he urged Democrats at the New Hampshire campaign office to win elections next month.

"We have to fight," said President Biden, who was greeted with applause at the Democratic Party's campaign office in Concord, New Hampshire.

"Arrested him politically. Confined him. That's what we have to do," he said.

Trump, who is also a former president, wants to ignore the protection of the US Constitution, President Biden said.

"Our democracy is at stake" if Trump beats Democrat candidate Kamala Harris, he said.

Trump, when he ran for president in 2016, repeatedly led a campaign where many people chanted "he's in prison," referring to Democratic candidate at the time Hillary Clinton. He did not deter them from the chant.

This year, in a campaign for Harris, his masses sometimes chanted "his prison," referring to Trump, who has been convicted of 34 counts of crimes related to covering up a mouthpiece paid to a porn star.

Trump also faces charges illegally trying to cancel his defeat in the 2020 general election.

However, Harris stopped the chants, saying the Justice Department would handle the matter while he tried to beat the former president in the ballot box.
