JAKARTA - The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) RI has strengthened its commitment to humanitarian cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) of Jordan. The Head of the Distribution, Utilization, and Empowerment Division of Baznas RI, Idy Muzayyad, assessed the Jordanian KHCF as a trusted partner in managing and reporting aid in an accountable and transparent manner.

International Donation and Gaza Patient Treatment Support Crisis
This humanitarian step received full appreciation from the Director of KHCF, Madelin Al Salah. He revealed that the latest allocation of funds worth more than IDR 3.5 billion was allocated for the treatment of cancer patients from Gaza who were undergoing treatment in Jordan in 2026.
Madelin emphasized that strengthening this medical and logistical cooperation is very urgent following the crisis of declining international donations due to the dynamics of the conflict in the Gulf region.
"Currently we are in a state of crisis and are making an emergency appeal for patients in Jordan. Without the support of donations, we are unable to continue treatment or bring new patients from Gaza," said Madelin.
The Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Indonesia, Sudqi Al Omoush, also appreciated the contribution of Baznas RI. He encouraged the expansion of cooperation through a sustainable waqf program for Palestinian refugees.
Sudqi regretted the high allocation of global budget absorbed for war weapons, rather than being allocated for humanitarian missions.
