JAKARTA - Clara Riva again greeted Indonesian music lovers through her latest work. This time, the singer-songwriter who successfully gave birth to various hit songs released a new single titled "Why Ya?" which raises the theme of relationship dynamics with the past.

The song "Why Ya?" presents a narrative that is very close to the daily lives of young people, namely the moment when an ex-boyfriend suddenly comes back.

Clara said the background of the song's creation still rooted in her personal feelings, although she processed the narrative through the eyes of others so that it felt more universal and relevant to listeners.

"On average, my songs come from personal feelings. Sometimes I take the POV from other people, but it turns out that it still relates to me," said Clara in her statement, Sunday, August 9.

As for the music, "Why Ya?" presents a fresh rhythm so that it is suitable for listening in various daily activities, from accompanying travel, filling the morning atmosphere, to becoming a source of encouragement when exercising.

The dynamic music packaging is inseparable from the touch of producer KREATE, who combines the play of synth and keyboard from Trinanda Imawan Wibisono, drum beats and programming by Pefiri, guitar excerpts from Dimas Raditya, to the bass beat of Odi Purba.

The color of the music is richer thanks to the brass instruments from the saxophone game of Weber Marely, trumpet Bruno Brito, and trombone Marco Almeida.

Through this song, Clara hopes that her work can become a friend to confide in for listeners who are in a situation full of dilemmas with the past.

"Hopefully this song will reach people who feel related. Maybe those who are chatting again with their ex, or those who have a relationship with their ex but don't come back, just invite them to meet. There is curiosity, want to meet, but also hesitate," he concluded.
