Persija will bring in 3 players in the summer transfer market

Persija Jakarta will land two or three new players in the summer transfer market this summer to meet the need to increase the power of the Kemayoran Tigers in the face of competition in the 2026/2027 Super League.

"Yes, for Thailand tomorrow we will leave. And yes, the President's Cup we are the champions of three, but the strength of our team at that time was only 40 percent. And there will also be additional players, yes two to new players," said Persija Jakarta coach Shin Tae-yong as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 9.

The club nicknamed Macan Kemayoran is rumored to be approaching a number of diaspora players to be brought to the Jakarta International Stadium.

One of the names that are strongly rumored to be Persija's target is Ivar Jenner and Justin Hubner who have the potential to reunite with his former coach at the Indonesian national team Shin Tae-yong.

The South Korean coach also admitted that he was not burdened by the target that had been set by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung who hoped that the Kemayoran Tigers would be able to win the 2026/2027 Super League as a gift for the 500th anniversary of DKI Jakarta.

Separately, Pramono Anung indeed targets Rizky Ridho and his friends to be able to become the Super League champion next season.

"I really hope and I believe in Shin Tae-yong's leadership and it's only the beginning, the most important thing is togetherness, unity, cohesiveness in the team which I think is getting better. Persija Jakarta is scheduled to undergo training concentration (TC) in Thailand on August 10.

In addition, Macan Kemayoran will also undergo a series of trials as part of the preparation for the 2026 Super League which will take place starting August 26.
