Attending The Atta-Aurel Marriage, Jokowi-Prabowo Are Insinuated By PKS About Country Leader's Quality

JAKARTA - PKS politician Mardani Ali Sera considers it natural for the emergence of public criticism of the upload of the official State Secretariat Ministry account which published the moment of President Joko Widodo's presence at the celebrity wedding of Atta Halilintar-Aurel Hermansyah.

Mardani agrees with Komika Ernest Prakasa, who thinks that posting photos of President Jokowi's presence at Atta and Aurel's wedding has nothing to do with the interests of the state.

"Naturally, if there is a negative response from the post. The public thinks it is not a government matter, let alone a state affair," said Mardani, Monday, April 5.

According to him, the presence of important state officials in celebrity events also shows the quality of the government.

In fact, said Mardani, some considered it too much if President Jokowi's class and Defense Minister Prabowo had set aside time for a private event.

"If I think yes, that's the quality of our current leadership," he said.

Previously, PDIP politician Hendrawan Supratikno assessed that the public should not be overly responding to President Jokowi's presence either as a guest or a witness to the marriage of artist Anang Hermansyah and Krisdayanti's children.

"I see it more as an effort to respect the hopes and requests of the family," Hendrawan told VOI, Monday, April 5.

Hendrawan said that the president's presence at the venue also still applies health protocols.

"What I hear is that health protocols are strictly enforced," he explained.

Hendrawan emphasized that it would be too much for Jokowi's presence to be questioned and even compared to other events. Moreover, to mention Jokowi's thirst for popularity.

"I feel it would be too much for someone to judge Pak Jokowi to be infatuated with popularity, or to compare why he attended Atta Halilintar's wedding but did not attend a similar event held by party officials," explained Hendrawan.

According to him, Jokowi was still wrapped in simplicity at the event. Even though the event that was held was quite luxurious and was a top artist in the country.

"Regarding luxury or modesty, it is relative yes. But the President came to emphasize simplicity. This means that he does not get carried away with the 'Crazy Rich Jakarta' style," he said.
