JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that weather conditions in general in Indonesia will rain with light to heavy intensity on Thursday, October 10.

"In Java, for Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya, it is thick cloudy. Bandung and Serang have light rain intensity, and Yogyakarta are cloudy," said BMKG forecaster Eriska Febriati in a weather forecast broadcast in Jakarta.

As for Sumatra, light to moderate rain is predicted in Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Bengkulu, and Pangkal Pinang.

Meanwhile, Palembang and Lampung have the potential to be thick cloudy.

"In the Denpasar, Mataram, and Kupang areas, thick clouds are forecast," he said.

Furthermore, he said, in the Kalimantan region heavy rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Palangkaraya and Banjarmasin. Meanwhile, Samarinda, Tanjung Selor, and Pontianak rained with light intensity.

Moving to the Sulawesi area, he continued, the Mamuju area has the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning. Meanwhile, Gorontalo, Palu, Kendari, and Makassar are predicted to have light rain. While Manado is cloudy.

In Eastern Indonesia, he said, Sorong, Nabire, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Ternate, in general light to moderate rain. Meanwhile, Ambon has the potential to be thick cloudy.
