The Minister Of PANRB Ensures That The Increase In Judge Allowances Is Being Processed

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas announced that his party had processed the adjustment of the judge's allowance.

Azwar added that they had coordinated with the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham), and the Supreme Court (MA) to determine the amount of the increase in the allowance.

"I have received directions and we have signed an application regarding the judge's allowance. Currently, we are coordinating with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the State Secretariat," said Azwar Anas, Tuesday.

Azwar revealed that he had communicated with the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court, State Secretariat and the team in the Supreme Court. He hopes that the discussion process will not take too long, so that formulas related to allowances for judges in various regions in Indonesia can be announced soon.

Previously, on Monday, a spokesman and deputy chairman of the Supreme Court's Non-judicial Division, Suharto, stated that the proposed change in the salaries and allowances of judges had been approved by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

"The latest information, on October 3, the principle of approval from the minister of Finance has been issued," Suharto said when receiving an audience from the Indonesian Judge Solidarity (SHI) at the Supreme Court (MA) building, Jakarta, quoted from Antara.

Suharto explained that in the academic paper of the Supreme Court, there were eight points of change proposed to the Ministry of PANRB. This change is related to Government Regulation Number 94 of 2012 concerning Financial Rights and Facilities of Judges under the Supreme Court.

The PANRB Ministry only handed over four points to the Ministry of Finance, including the proposed increase in basic salary by 815%, an increase in pensions by 815%, an increase in job allowances by 4570%, and expensive allowances.

Four MA proposals that have not been accommodated by the Ministry of PANRB, include state housing facilities, transportation, health, and honorarium for accelerating case handling. After processing with the Ministry of Finance, only three proposals from the Ministry of PANRB were agreed upon, namely basic salary, pension, and job allowances.
