Ukraine Blocks Russian Khinzal Missile Attack In Kyiv During Busy Hours Monday Morning

JAKARTA - The missile debris fell in three districts in the Ukrainian capital during rush hour on Monday morning after air defenses Russian attacks.

"No major damage or casualties were reported as a result of the attack in which Russia fired the Kinzhal hypersonic missile at Kyiv," said Serhiy Popko, head of city military administration.

Debris damaged the roof of a multi-storey residential building in the Solomianskyi district west of the city and other debris fell in the school area.

The missile debris also fell into an open area in the central Shevchenkivskyi district and damaged the roof of a car in the Holosiivskyi district in southern Kyiv.

Russia launched a long-range missile attack on Ukraine throughout the war launched in February 2022. The drone attack has become a routine occurrence, almost every night.

Russia carried out drone attacks overnight in the area around the capital, the city government said. About 15 drones were used in the attack.
