Densus 88 Arrested 7 Suspected Terrorists In Jakarta And Makassar

JAKARTA - The Densus 88 Anti-terror have arrested two suspected terrorists in the Jakarta area. A total of seven terrorist suspects have been arrested.

"What is clear is that it has already been 7 and will continue to be developed. (Arrested) In Jakarta and its surroundings", said Head of Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas), Police Public Relations Division, General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Thursday, April 1.

As previously reported, the Densus 88 Anti-terror on Wednesday, March 31 had arrested five suspected terrorists. They were arrested at different locations.

According to Rusdi, the two suspected terrorists had no connection with the Makassar or Bima terrorist groups.

"It is not yet known which network for Jakarta, the Densus is still investigating", he said.

Not only that, but the Densus 88 Anti-terror also arrested five suspected terrorists in Makassar, South Sulawesi. They are related to the suicide bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church.

"As of this afternoon, the Densus continues to develop the case. It has been secured until noon today. 18 suspected involvement in the case of the Cathedral Church in Makassar, especially the Villa Mutiara group", he said.
