Police Distribute 3 Mandalika 2024 MotoGP Security Zones, Entrance To 5 Points

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) divide the security area in the 2024 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit in three zones.

Director of Vital Object Security (Dirpamobvit) Polda NTB Kombes Pol Suprayitno said the three security zones were red zones, green zones, and the middle zone.

"The red zone includes the Mandalika circuit area, while the green zone covers the area inside and around the circuit. The middle zone will focus on managing shuttle buses and parking areas which are often crucial points for smooth traffic flow," said Suprayitno in a written statement, Thursday, September 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

He emphasized that his party involved in security will act in accordance with the regulations implemented by the organizers.

"No ticket, no access. Including vehicles without stickers, they are still not allowed to enter," he said.

Regarding the entrance and security of VIP guests and the 2024 MotoGP VVIP, Suprayitno said there are now five points available. The number is more than the last year's MotoGP implementation which only provided three entrances.

He ensured that his party would strictly guard every entrance. Especially for VIP and VVIP guest security activities, such as the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is scheduled to attend will also be improved with special traffic arrangements, including a counterflow system to facilitate the journey of VIP and VVIP groups.

The National Police also anticipates the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Side Event which will not only offer races, but will also be accompanied by various supporting events, including music concerts from the Slank group which will be held at night.

For this reason, Suprayitno emphasized that his party also pays attention to security and order during the supporting event by ensuring that only one entrance is used for audience access.

"On 28 and 29 it will be very crowded, especially when the Slank concert takes place. We anticipate the possibility of a large crowd, and all security personnel are instructed to stay in their respective posts until the event ends," he said.
