JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Sanggam Adji Market Served in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), to ensure good and stable food prices, Thursday, September 26.

"I am happy, I checked that the prices in the market were all at good prices, good prices, stable prices," said President Jokowi, giving a press statement, after reviewing the market, it was confiscated by Antara.

The Head of State revealed that this was the first time he made a working visit to Berau Regency, and was very surprised by the enthusiasm of the people who welcomed him at the market.

"The first time I went to Berau Regency, I was very surprised by the enthusiasm of the people here because maybe it's the first time," said the President.

The President also hopes that the economy in Berau Regency will continue to grow. According to him, Berau Regency can play a role in supporting food needs for the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) which is also located in East Kalimantan.

"So there is the capital city of Nusantara, the surrounding districts should be able to see the needs, needs of IKN. If you want rice to be supplied from where, where the fruit came from, where the vegetables came from. All of them are opportunities, opportunities for the community, opportunities for entrepreneurs to be able to participate, especially micro and small businesses, to contribute to the supply of IKN logistics," said the President.

Previously, President Jokowi arrived at Kalimarau Airport, Berau, East Kalimantan, on Thursday, September 26, at around 11.50 WITA.

President Jokowi was greeted by the "Harmony of Banuanta" dance which depicts the life of the people of East Kalimantan who are harmonious and have high tolerance. President Jokowi also wore Dayak Gaai traditional clothes during the speech.
