Armed Group Sharp Attacking Sukabumi Market Cibadak Arrested

JAKARTA - Personnel from the Sukabumi Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) together with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cibadak Police arrested six youths who carried out attacks on Cibadak Market, Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"We managed to arrest the perpetrators of the attack in less than 24 hours or on Friday at 17.00 WIB in the Parungkuda District," said Cibadak Police Chief AKP Idji Djubaedi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 20.

According to Idji, the arrests of the perpetrators of this attack were thanks to the team's fast movement.

After his party received the incident report, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cibadak Police immediately conducted a crime scene investigation asking for information from a number of witnesses, then securing CCTV footage and identifying the perpetrators.

Apparently, after receiving information from witnesses, his party again received information, the perpetrators clashed again with the people who were attacked at Cibadak Market, because those who were victims of the attack found out for themselves who the perpetrators were.

Then received information from the armed youth group from the Parungkuda sub-district. Thanks to this information, those who were attacked at Cibadak Market took revenge.

In the early hours of Thursday, these two youth camps returned to attack each other at the Serong Bridge, Parungkuda District. Therefore, because this case occurred in two locations, namely Cibadak and Parungkuda Districts, to facilitate the investigation process, his party coordinated with the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim.

"From the hands of the six suspects we managed to arrest, evidence was confiscated in the form of six sharp weapons of the type of sickle and iron pipe they used to carry out the attack," he added.

Idji said that his party could not confirm whether the two groups of youths who attacked each other were affiliated with a gang of motorcycle gangs or not, until now they are still under investigation by the Satreskrim.

In addition, this case is still being developed to reveal the occurrence of clashes, whether previously these two camps had promised a brawl or other things because joint personnel were still hunting down other perpetrators who were opponents of the duel of the six suspects.
