Asking for Blessing in Jakarta Election, RK visited Bang Yos' residence

JAKARTA - One of the gubernatorial candidates (cagub) in the 2024 DKI Pilkada Ridwan Kamil (RK), visited the residence of former Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso on Jalan Raya Kalimanggis, Jatikarya Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi City, West Java, Thursday 12 September.

Quoted by ANTARA, RK, who wore a white shirt wrapped in a cream-colored jacket, arrived at Sutiyoso's residence at around 09.50 WIB. His arrival was immediately greeted by Bang Yos, Sutiyoso's nickname.

When he arrived, Bang Yos also invited RK to visit his museum called "Museum Bang Yos".

In the museum, RK was invited to tour by Bang Yos about his track record during his time as a TNI soldier, starting from attending the 1965-1968 Military Academy (Akmil) to becoming Pangdam Jaya 1996-1997.

Bang Yos also showed his photos during the GAM operation in Aceh in 1978 and the Team-Tim operation in 1975.

Not only that, RK was also invited to see photos of Bang Yos while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta for two periods, namely 1997-2002 and 2002-2007 as well as photos of him while serving as Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in 2015-2016.

After surrounding the museum, Bang Yos also invited RK to chat at the Bang Yos family gathering place in the museum. They had a one-on-one conversation.

Meanwhile, the cawagub of DKI Jakarta, Suswono, finally arrived at Bang Yos' residence at around 10.48 WIB to stay in touch.

The Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair registered to take part in the Jakarta Pilkada to the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) Office, at the end of last August.

The pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor of RK-Suswono will run for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada with the support of a fat coalition from a number of political parties, namely the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, Democratic Party, PSI, PKB, NasDem, PPP and Perindo.

The couple also received support from non-parliamentary political parties, namely the Gelora Party, Garuda Party, Crescent Star Party, PRIMA, and the Nusantara Awakening Party.
