Sandiaga About Becoming Minister Of Kebinet Prabowo: We Must Know Ourselves

JAKARTA - PPP politician Sandiaga Uno talked about the minister's offer in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government cabinet. He admitted that he knew himself during the 2024 presidential election, he did not participate in fighting to make Prabowo president.

According to Sandiaga, the ministerial position is more appropriate to be given to figures who have'sweed' from the start led Prabowo to become elected president.

"For those who at that time did not fight to make him, even though previously 10 years I fought for Pak Prabowo, but we must be introspective. We must know ourselves that priority is for the fighters who have pushed finally Pak Prabowo to become the 8th president in Indonesia," Sandiaga said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, September 6.

The former deputy chairman of the Gerindra Party's Board of Trustees did not want to comment further on Prabowo's cabinet. He said that the ministerial seat was Prabowo's prerogative as president-elect.

"I don't want (to comment), it's purely prerogative of the president. We are starting to be politically ethical, in my opinion politics is now being put forward where Mr. Prabowo as president-elect has the prerogative," Sandiaga said.

It is known that Sandiaga was previously a Gerindra Party cadre. Sandiaga also managed to win in the 2017 Pilkada with Anies Baswedan and was appointed Deputy Governor.

Twice in the presidential election, he supported the general chairman to fight against Jokowi Widodo. However, when Prabowo fought back in the 2024 presidential election, Sandiaga actually moved to the Kaaba Party.
