Kostrad Train Soldiers To Operate Cannons Caesar 155 MM In South Sumatra

JAKARTA - Battalion Soldiers Armed 9 Kostrad Pasopati held a technical heavy weapon shooting exercise (Latbakjatrantis) 2024 at the Martapur Combat Training Center (Puslatpur), South Sumatra (Sumsel).

The Commander of the Danyon Armed 9 Pasopati Battalion, Lt. Col. Arm Sigit Windarto, said that this activity was carried out to train Pasopati soldiers to operate Meriam's heavy equipment Caesar 155 MM.

Not only that, he said, the activity that was held yesterday was to increase the readiness of Battalion Armed 9 Pasopati soldiers in carrying out defense missions on all battlefields.

Sigit said the training for the use of heavy weapons was also taking place smoothly, and his party ensured that it would continue to hone the capabilities of soldiers in order to maintain the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

After holding shooting practice, he said, his staff also held social services by giving food packages to residents around Puslatpur.

"Hopefully this activity can provide benefits for the people who receive it," said Sigit in a Kostrad press release broadcast Friday, September 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

Previously, the Martapura Puslatpur, South Sumatra, was often used as a place for the ranks of the Indonesian Army Kostrad as a place to practice shooting.
