Vegetables In Malaysia Slashed A Man's Neck After An Argument About Parking, Victims Survived

JAKARTA - A vegetable seller was arrested for slashing a man's neck with a sharp weapon (sajam) in the aftermath of an argument about the boundary of a parking vehicle in the PPR parking area, Pekan Kepong, Malaysia.

Sentul District Police Chief,▁putra Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said the suspect was 28, working at the Selayang Market.

"Investigations are being carried out based on Article 326 of the Criminal Code," he said when contacted Thursday, September 5, quoted from Bernama.

Zahari added that the suspect was arrested at the scene at 18.45 a.m., Thursday 5 September. Currently, he is still being questioned regarding the case.

"The police have submitted an order for detention of the suspect," he said.

Zahari said the victim was in a stable condition being treated at the Selayang Hospital. Regarding the details of the word, he said it would be explained in a press conference scheduled for today.

The incident of slashing the neck using a knife from a vegetable trader against a man in Pekan Kepong went viral on Malaysian social media.

In the video circulating, the two of them had a fierce fight and then a raid broke out by the surrounding community.
