Inaugurating The KIA Building At The Bali Ngoerah Hospital, Jokowi Is Optimistic That He Can Press Maternal And Child Deaths

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the construction of the Mother and Child Health Service Building (KIA) at the Prof. Ngoerah Central General Hospital, Denpasar, Bali, was one of the efforts to suppress the death of mothers and children in Indonesia.

"This will reduce maternal and child mortality in Bali Province and in general in our country, Indonesia," he said during a visit to Prof. Ngoerah Bali Hospital, Monday, September 2, as reported by Antara.

When inaugurating the building, he admitted, happy and satisfied with the results he was doing.

He admitted that the facilities at the Mother and Child Health Service Building at the Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar are like five-star hotel facilities.

"I entered the new building of Ngoerah Hospital, like entering a five-star hotel," he said.

In addition, he said, the equipment prepared in the largest hospitals in Bali and Nusa Tenggara is fairly sophisticated and modern.

"The waiting room is very good, the furniture is also arranged very well and the equipment that was shown to me is really modern, sophisticated, and digital equipment," he said.

He stated that the magnificent building had spent a budget of IDR 233 billion. The budget is added to modern medical equipment of IDR 241 billion.

"But it's okay that we spend Rp233 plus Rp241 billion in equipment, from the community, especially mothers and children, getting the best possible health services," he said.

The funds were added for the development of human resources (HR) worth Rp28 billion.

Because the equipment used in the building is sophisticated, the President asked for training on the use of tools so that they can be used to serve the Balinese people.

He said the government added 326 beds in the new building at the Ngoerah Hospital.

"And additional for the bed, namely 326 beds, this will provide additional health services for our community," he said.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia arrived at Sanglah Hospital at 14:33 WITA, accompanied by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Acting Governor of Bali Sang Mahendra Jaya.
