Bali Police: Former Regent Of Jembrana Died Unnaturally

The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, stated that the former Regent of Jembrana Ida Bagus Ardana (84) and his wife Sri Wulan Trisna (64) who were found dead at her home in South Denpasar were suspected of having died unnaturally.

This was revealed after investigators obtained the results of the autopsy on the two bodies of the victims.

"For the time being, it is suspected that the two victims who died were not dead. What is the result of his death, why is it categorized as death unnatural and the cause is being investigated," said Jansen, Friday, August 30.

Jansen said the results of the Bali Regional Police Forensic and Forensic Laboratory had been available, but could not be announced because a cross-check had to be carried out between the results of the Forensic Lab and the results of the post-mortem and Forensic Medical Autopsy.

In addition to collecting evidence on the victim's body, Denpasar Police investigators have also checked CCTV around the crime scene.

The electronic equipment in the form of cellphones and computers of the victim has also been examined by investigators and deeply analyzed in connection with the incident experienced by the two victims.

Regarding the liquid found in the victim's bedroom, said Jansen, it had nothing to do with the victim's death.

However, the exact liquid that was secured by the Bali Police Labfor some time ago has not been disclosed by Jansen on the pretext that it will be explained in detail by the Denpasar Police Chief, Kombes Wisnu Prabowo.

During the examination by the forensic team, no hazardous compound material was found in several liquids that were checked by the Toxicology sample.

"The results of the Toxicology Laboratory from the Bali Police Labfor currently did not find any hazardous compound material in several liquids that were checked for toxicology samples," he said.

Until now, 26 witnesses were examined by investigators, ranging from the close family of the two victims to neighbors around the crime scene.

The police have also asked for a history of GPS cars belonging to rentals used by witnesses who last met the victim, then will conduct a case title.

The discovery of the bodies of the two victims, according to Jansen's statement, began with a report by witness Ida Bagus to the South Denpasar Police. Both were found dead on Thursday (8/8) at 22:16 WITA in Setan, Denpasar.

When found by witnesses, the two victims were found dead in their house in Setan, Denpasar. Both were found in different places, but in the same house.

"The victim Ida Bagus Ardana was found lying near the kitchen door, while his wife was found dead lying on the bed," he said.
