The brawl between two groups of youths from different RWs occurred again in the Pasar Gembrong area, Prumpung area, Jalan Jend. Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Thursday, August 29.

The two groups of teenagers attacked each other by shooting firecrackers and throwing stones. Not only that, the two groups also carried sharp weapons during a brawl.

According to Triyono, this brawl involved a young man from RW 01 with RW 02. This brawl also damaged public facilities and made roads impassable by motorists.

An hour later, police officers from the East Jakarta Metro Police who came to the location immediately managed to disperse the brawl between the youths between the RWs.

"This brawl occurred during working hours and was very disturbing to residents. There were several vehicles that were hit by stones. The perpetrators were also armed with machetes and firecrackers," he told reporters, Thursday, August 29, at dawn.

The trigger for this brawl was because there was mutual ridicule between the youth of RW 01 and RW 02 so that a brawl occurred.

"(The cause of the brawl) From the young people's social media content. Maybe there is an alliance of RW 02, 04, 06 to join all of them to attack RW 01," he said.

However, when members of the East Jakarta Metro Police dispersed the brawl, the perpetrators poured hard water at the police.

Furthermore, police officers who were exposed to hard water were taken to the Police Hospital using a Police ambulance for treatment.

As is known, these residents of different RWs have often carried out brawls. Various efforts have been made by the East Jakarta Metro Police to the East Jakarta City Government level, but brawls still continue to occur in the Gembrong Market area, Jend. Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District.
