NasDem-PKS-PKB Close To The Government, Prabowo: Thank You For Joining, But Don't Go Again

President-elect Prabowo Subianto would like to thank the NasDem Party for deciding to join its government in the next five years.

When told that the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, wanted to meet to express his support for his leadership with Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024-2029 period, Perabowo was grateful.

Prabowo also has no problem with NasDem, which during the 2024 presidential election is against the coalition. This was conveyed by Prabowo in the III Congress of the NasDem Party which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

"Really, Mr. Surya, when you came, I thank you. I, yes, it's okay you used to support Anies, it's okay," said Prabowo, Tuesday, August 27.

Prabowo also thanked PKS and PKB who were previously in the Coalition for Change with NasDem to carry Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election.

In the election contestation, differences in political attitudes are common for Prabowo. However, after the 2024 presidential election was over, Prabowo invited his former political opponent to cooperate.

"PKS, come on, thank you for joining. PKB thank you for joining. Don't go again but. Join, thank you. Now I'm waiting to see which one wants to join again," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also responded to the public's opinion that he was building a fat coalition by inviting many political parties to run the government in the 2024-2029 period together. Prabowo considers this not a problem.

"Some say 'oh, how is this? The coalition is very fat'. Our nation is big. The Indonesian nation is the same as Europe. How much Europe? 27 countries, 28. We are one country," he explained.

The general chairman of the Gerindra Party assesses that Indonesia needs many resources to unite to build the country so that it can compete globally.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the competition of the nations, until they say that Indonesian elites can cooperate, can collaborate, Indonesia is very difficult to stop," he said.

Prabowo also invited many parties to collaborate to build his government for the next five years. The hot political dynamics such as western countries, according to him, are not suitable for implementation in Indonesia.

"Don't let us join other cultures, western cultures or which cultures might like opposition-oppositions, clashes. Opposition, don't want cooperation, it might be their culture. Our culture, never mind," he added.
