Snapchat Presents Location Sharing Features And Travel Notifications For Families

JAKARTA Snapchat, a visual messaging platform, has launched a new feature that can make it easier for families to share news. In the near future, Family Center users will get a location sharing feature.

Currently, there are more than 350 million users who take advantage of the Snap Map feature to share locations, find an interesting place, and visit somewhere easily. Of all these conveniences, Snapchat realizes that the location sharing feature is very important.

Parents or guardians can monitor their children's activities through a location sharing feature. With only one button at the Family Center, they can now submit a request for location so they can find out where their child is after the school ends.

This feature also works the other way around. Parents or guardians can share their location so family members can find out their newest location. This is an interesting feature for families who are separated due to holidays or other things.

In addition to adding a special family location sharing feature, Snap also offers a new feature called'received travel notifications'. Through this feature, parents can get notifications when their child is on their way to school or on their way home.

When activating this feature, parents will be asked to choose three specific places on Snap Map related to their children's activities, such as homes, schools, and tutoring centers or sports centers. If the child arrives at school, parents will get a notification.

This is the right way to find out if their children skip out on purpose or if their child comes home on time. Snap says that the feature will roll out in the coming weeks.
