JAKARTA - A total of 106 members of the DKI Jakarta Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) for the period 2024-2029 as a result of the 2024 General Election were inaugurated at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building today. "Congratulations on serving as a representative of the people of DKI Jakarta Province. Hopefully, it will be trustworthy and full of blessings in carrying out its duties for better Jakarta," said Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, August 26. Prasetyo also expressed his gratitude to the members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2019-2024 period for their dedication and hard work so far. The General Elections Commission (KPU) has appointed 106 members of the Jakarta Provincial elected DPRD for the period 2024-2029 through a plenary meeting on Friday (23/8). In this period, celebrity figures such as Chica Koeswoyo, Tina Toon and Astrid Kuya managed to get a seat in the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Of the 11 political parties (political parties) that qualified for the Jakarta DPRD, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) got the most seats. PKS received 1,012,028 votes to get 18 seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2024-2029 period. That number increased by 2 seats compared to the 2019-2024 period. PDIP is in second place with 850,174 votes getting 15 seats. That number decreased drastically compared to the seat acquisition in the 2019 DKI Jakarta DPRD legislative election, which was 25 seats. Gerindra, who is in third place with 728,297 votes, pocketed 14 seats. The number of seats this time fell compared to 2019, which was 19 seats. Then the fourth position with the votes occupied by Nasdem. The party that bagged 545,235 votes got 10 seats. Then the fifth position was occupied by Golkar with 517,819 votes who received 10 seats. Furthermore, PKB which received 470,682 votes received 10 seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD. PAN gets 10 seats and the Democratic Party gets 9 seats. PSI, which received 465,936 votes in the DPRD legislative election, received 8 seats.

The Perindo Party, which received 160,203 votes and PPP with 153,240 votes each received 1 seat in the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Meanwhile, other parties, namely the Labor Party (69,969 votes), Gelora (62,850 votes), PKN (19,204 votes), Hanura (26,537 votes), Garuda (12,826 votes), PBB (15,750 votes) and the Ummat Party (56,271 votes) did not get a seat in the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
