PDIP Carries Airin-Ade To Advance In The 2024 Banten Gubernatorial Election

TANGERANG - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has officially promoted the pair Airin Rachmi Diany and Ade Sumardi as candidates for governor and deputy governor in the 2024 Banten Provincial Head Election.

The support for the Airin-Ade pair was confirmed through the submission of the recommendation form B1 of the KWK Political Party at the Banten Maju Bersama Declaration event at ICE BSD, Tangerang Regency, Sunday, August 25.

In addition to Airin-Ade, on the same occasion, the PDI-P also submitted a letter from B1 of the KWK Political Party to eight pairs of candidates for regent/deputy regent and prospective mayor/deputy mayor throughout Banten Province.

The pair of candidates for regional heads who are supported by PDIP for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in Banten are Ratu Ria-Subadri Ushuludin (Kota Serang), Robinsar-Fajar Hadi Prabowo (Cilegon City), Sahrudin- wayono Hasan (Kota Tangerang), and Benjamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan (Kota Tangerang Selatan).

Furthermore, Andika Hazrumi-Nangan (Sang Regency), Hasbi Jayabaya-Amir Hamzah (Lebak Regency), Fitron-Diana (Padeglang Regency), Mad Romli-Irvorsyah (Tangerang Regency.

"The conclusion we reported to Mrs. Megawati is that based on the aspirations of PAC, Ranting, DPC, DPD friends, they proposed to conduct political cooperation with the Golkar Party which carries Airin Rachmi Diany and Ade Sumardi as candidates for governor and deputy governor from Banten Province," said PDIP DPP chairman Ahmad Basarah in the Banten Maju Bersama Declaration.

He said the provision of recommendations for political party support to all candidates for regional heads in the 2024 Pilkada in Banten was the result of a joint agreement from the Rate of Rating, DPC to the PDIP DPD.

PDIP supports Airin in the Banten Pilkada independently because it sees no support from the Golkar Party.

"Until finally we heard from several sources of friends at the Golkar DPP, whose tones we captured the impression of taking another political scheme in Banten Province. Finally, we had time to rethink whether PDIP should accept the fate like in DKI Jakarta, abandoned, has no political partners," said Basarah.

Meanwhile, Banten gubernatorial candidate Airin Rachmi Diany expressed his gratitude for providing support from PDIP to advance in the Banten Pilkada event.

Airin hopes that the support from PDIP will be the best way to enter the Banten Pilkada.

"Hopefully (the letter) of the B1 KWK remains with me. But whatever it is called our politics, as Golkar Party cadres understand the dynamics that occur," he said.

Airin also admitted that he could understand the political dynamics that occurred in the Golkar Party, regardless of whether he had carried out all the tasks ordered by the Golkar Party.

"All the shortcomings of yesterday's assignment letter to find a candidate pair for deputy have been carried out and I got Pak Ade and SK to come out during Pak Airlangga's time," he said.
