JAKARTA - The Jalan Gerbang Pemuda section, Gelora Village, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta which crosses the back of the DPR Building - MPR RI has been closed by police officers from the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday afternoon, August 22.

A number of vehicles that want to pass are directed to go through the Patal Senayan area.

From VOI's observation at the location behind the DPR RI building, around 100 students are already in front of the Pancasila Gate, precisely behind the DPR Building - MPR RI.

The students who wore the navy blue alma mater were seen sitting in front of the gate and attaching various banners that read "Jokowi President Failed" and "Geruduk Senayan Rakyat Against" and "Aparat need $".

"This is what all Trisaksi students came," said one student in an Usakti uniform to VOI at the location.

Meanwhile, it has not been seen that there are uniformed officers guarding the vicinity of the demonstration in the outside area behind the DPR Building - MPR RI. It's just that several officers were freely dressed around the demonstration point.

At least 2,013 joint personnel from the Central Jakarta Metro Police were deployed to secure demonstrations from several elements of society in front of the DPR Building - MPR RI on Thursday, August 22.

"In order to secure the action of community elements in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building and its surroundings, we involved a total of 2,013 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro.
