Robbery And Confinement In West Jakarta Kemanggisan Coinciding With RI's 79th Anniversary

The West Jakarta Metro Police continue to gather witnesses and conduct investigations related to the robbery and confinement that took place at a luxury house on Jalan Bima, Kemanggisan, Palmerah District, West Jakarta, Saturday, August 17, yesterday, to coincide with the 79th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

"There have been 6 witnesses examined, they can add more. They are still being questioned at the West Jakarta Police," said West Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Officer, AKP Diaman Saragih when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, August 20.

Currently, the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim is also still carrying out the investigation stage related to the robbery and confinement. Meanwhile, from the results of the crime scene (TKP), the police also found damage to the victim's house.

"The perpetrators, they carried out damage using crowbars. The main door was broken, damaged. The case is still under investigation," he said.

The gang of robbers managed to steal hundreds of millions of gold and lock up the occupants of the house.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the robbery took place on Saturday, August 17.

The disclosure of this case when the victim with the initials LPI received a call from his son explaining that a robbery had just occurred at his house.

"The victim received a call from his son and reported that there was a scream from the victim's house," Ade told reporters, Monday, August 19.

Then, LPI contacted the housing security officer to check the condition of his house. When checked, it turned out that his house had become the target of the robbers. In fact, LPI's son and household assistant (ART) were held captive in the room.
