61-Year-Old Grandfather Of The Sidoarjo Tourists Died After Trying A Banana Boat On Trenggalek Beach

JAKARTA - A tourist died after playing a banana boat attraction at Mutiara Beach, Trenggalek, East Java (East Java), Sunday, August 18.

The incident occurred after a group of tourists from Sidoarjo decided to try a banana boat together with an overturned boat attraction in shallow waters, not far from the local shoreline.

"It's true, there were tourists who died while traveling to Mutiara Beach," said Head of Polairud Trenggalek Aipda Joko Suwito in Trenggalek, Sunday, August 18, confiscated by Antara.

Initially, the tourist who died named Martono (61) played banana boat with his wife Kustatic (52) and his entourage.

Kustatics who complained of dizziness fell unconscious after playing banana boat.

This situation was responded by the banana boat operator calling on the coast guard and the nearest health worker to help evacuate Kustatics to the beach.

"After some time, the mother woke up from fainting. But her husband [Martono] who saw the incident also fainted and was rushed to the puskesmas until he died," said Joko Suwito.

It is not yet known for certain the cause of Martono's fainting until he finally died.

The reason is that when this news was written, medical officers were still conducting investigations. The police are still investigating the incident.
