Cafe Entrepreneurs Allegedly Extorting Village Heads In Mukomuko, Police Investigate Other Perpetrators

The police are investigating the possibility of other perpetrators in the case of extortion of village heads (kades) in a cafe in the Mukomuko City District area. "We are still investigating whether or not there were other perpetrators in the case of extortion of this village head," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Mukomuko Police Iptu Achmad Nizar Akbar in his statement in Mukomuko, Friday, August 16, confiscated by Antara. Mukomuko Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested the perpetrator with the initials JD at the scene of the case in one of the cafes in the Mukomuko City District area, Wednesday, August 14 at around 17.00 WIB. JD's arrest began with the report of one of the village heads in Koto District V. JD is known to be a cafe entrepreneur in Mukomuko who has now been named a suspect. In addition, he said, his party had also examined six witnesses in this case consisting of three witnesses from the complainant, then the reported party, and two colleagues. He explained that the incident began on August 13, 2024 where the reported party contacted the victim to invite him to meet at one of the cafes in Mukomuko City District.

Ia mengatakan, terlapor mengajak korban bertemu untuk membicarakan masalah BUMDes di desa pelapor, setelah itu terlapor membicarakan kepada korban jika ingin dibantu korban diminta uang Rp18 juta.Sebaliknya, jika permintaan terlapor tidak dipenuhi, maka terlapor melaporkan korban ke Kejaksaan Negeri Mukomuko.Dalam melakukan aksinya, terlapor mengaku tidak mencatut nama pejabat di jajaran Kejaksaan Negeri Mukomuko.Kemudian, sesuai perjanjian antara pelapor dan terlapor, yang baru diterima terlapor sebesar Rp5,5 juta yang dia peroleh pada Selasa 13 Agustus sebesar Rp3 juta dan hari Kamis 14 Agustus sebesar Rp2,5 juta.Dari uang pemerasan sebesar Rp5,5 juta itu, yang sudah digunakan oleh tersangka sebesar Rp3 juta untuk kebutuhannya, sedangkan Rp2,5 juta diamankan polisi.Akibat perbuatannya itu, katanya, terlapor ini dijerat pasal 368 tentang pemerasan dan pengancaman dengan ancaman kurungan penjara selama 12 tahun.
