Police Investigate Death Of FK Student Undip Semarang Allegedly Suicide

SEMARANG - Police are investigating the death of a student of the Specialist Doctor Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang, who allegedly committed suicide at his boarding house on Lempongsari Street, Semarang City, Central Java.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Polrestabes Kompol Andika Dharma Sena confirmed the investigation into the victim's death with the initials AR which was found on Monday (12/8).

"We will investigate first, because there is information that the person concerned is sick," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.

According to him, the boarding house room was locked when the victim was found.

Meanwhile, from the information gathered, the victim died from an injection of drugs into his body.

The victim allegedly ended his life as a result of being a victim of bullying while undergoing education.

Regarding bullying, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Andika Dharma Sena said he would still explore the information.

"We are still checking, whether it is true or not," he added.

Separately, the Chancellor of Undip Semarang, Suharnomo, has not responded when contacted via text message about the incident.
