Alvin Lim's Lawyer Dies, Suffering Failed Kronis Kidney

JAKARTA - renowned lawyer Alvin Lim passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, after battling chronic kidney failure. This sad news was confirmed through the Instagram upload of a culinary entrepreneur and CEO of Ritz Academy, Roy Shakti.

"RIP Alvin Lim, please all his mistakes during his life are forgiven," wrote the account @royshakti, Sunday afternoon.

The post received a lot of sad comments from colleagues and followers on social media. One of the comments read, "Woohhh... only a while ago was enthusiastic about 45 in the donation case. Goodbye, Mr. Al," wrote the account @pusp**nny.

In a chain message circulating in the WhatsApp group, Alvin Lim reportedly died from complications of kidney disease.

Alvin's wife, Phioruci, recently revealed her husband's health condition. "My husband was exposed to stage five chronic kidney failure, heart failure, and his lungs filled with water," he said.

Alvin Lim's name resurfaced recently because he was involved in a legal conflict between Agus Salim, a victim of drinking hard water, and Teh Novi (Pratiwi Noviyanthi) related to the management of donations.

Agus Salim previously received a donation of around Rp. 1.5 billion collected by Teh Novi through his foundation. However, the dispute occurred when Agus allegedly used the funds for personal gain, including paying off family debts. This sparked public anger, especially from Teh Novi.

Alvin Lim, who became Agus Salim's attorney, also reported Teh Novi to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on suspicion of defamation after Teh Novi uploaded a meme that was considered harassing Agus on social media. However, Alvin Lim then withdrew the report on the grounds that he wanted to end the conflict.

In addition, Alvin Lim is also known to often clash with the famous lawyer Hotman Paris on social media.

During his lifetime, Alvin Lim was known as a lawyer who was brave and had high integrity. His courage in defending clients and in principle in enforcing the law became an inspiration for many young lawyers in Indonesia.
