Zulkifli Hasan: It's Up To The President To Reshuffle August 19-20, That's A Prerogative Right

JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade and General Chair of PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) responded to the news that President Joko Widodo's cabinet reshuffle would be carried out in the near future. According to Zulhas, the reshuffle of the cabinet minister is the prerogative of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"The reshuffle is the president's right, right, he has prerogative," said Zulhas at the PAN DPP office, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.

Previously, it was rumored that President Jokowi would announce a reshuffle of ministers today, followed by the inauguration tomorrow, Thursday, August 15.

Zulhas emphasized that the president could replace his assistants at any time. But indirectly, the former MPR chairman gave a signal that Jokowi would reshuffle his cabinet next week.

"It is up to the president to reshuffle on the 19th, on the 20th of his rights, yes, the prerogative of the president," said Zulhas.

Based on information circulating, there are four ministers who will be replaced or subject to Jokowi's reshuffle. The four are Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna Laoly, Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif, and Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia.

A number of names are also rumored to be replacing the four people. Gerindra Party cadre Supratman Andi Agtas is said to be the Minister of Law and Human Rights replacing the post left by PDI-P cadre Yasonna Laoly.

Meanwhile, Bahlil Lahadalia is said to be serving as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources replacing Arifin Tasrif. Meanwhile, the Head of the Prabowo-Gibran Winning Team, Roslan P Roeslani, is also rumored to be replacing Bahlil as investment minister.

Then PSI Secretary General who is also Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni is said to be filling the LHK ministerial post replacing NasDem cadre Siti Nurbaya.
