JAKARTA - Commander of the National Air Operations Command (Pangkoopsudnas) of the Indonesian Air Force Air Marshal TNI Tedi Rizalihadi released the journey of Yohanes Mustam who will drive an electric Scooter from Indonesia to Italy at the end of August 2024.

The activity took place at the Air Force Scooter Gathering which is a series of celebrations of the 72nd Anniversary of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, which was commemorated on August 17, 2024.

On the south apron of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Sunday, Marsdya Tedi gave a souvenir in the form of a jacket to Yohanes, then symbolically released his departure by swinging a'start' flag.

Then, Tedi together with the main Indonesian Air Force officials, including the Commander of the Indonesian Air Force's Doctrine Development Command, Education and Training (Dankodiklkatau) Air Marshal Arief Mustofa, Air Operations Command Commander (Pangkoopsud) I Marshal Mohammad Nurdin, and Air Base Commander (Danlanud) Halim Perdanakusuma First Marshal TNI Destianto Nugroho Utomo continued driving with Yohanes and about 500 more members of the coordinating community surrounding Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base complex. After driving, Pangkoopsudnas continued to sign on Yohanes' voter box. He said goodbye and prayed for Yohanes' expedition to be successful until the end point in Italy.

"The TNI will commemorate October 5, wherever you are until later, I ordered you to send congratulations to the TNI," said Marsdya Tedi to Yohanes.

Yohanes's expedition to travel by land to Italy driving an electric slider also caught the attention of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya Bakar. The Minister of Environment and Forestry also released the journey of Yohanes on the sidelines of the LIKE 2 KLHK Festival event in Jakarta, Thursday (8/8).

Yohanes at the event said he would travel 11,000 kilometers on land, with the Indonesian route via air to Turkey, then continued the land route to Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and the end point in Italy.

Yohanes, who has been preparing for the expedition since 2023, will test the resilience of the modified 1974 Vespa Super anti-scooter so that it no longer uses fuel oil (BBM), but uses electrical energy from the 72V 99AH battery model tank watersproof IPx4.
