Ministry Of PUPR: Swissotel Nusantara Ready To Accommodate Guests Invited To The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN

BALIKPAPAN - Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that Switzerland Nusantara is ready to accommodate invited guests to attend the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja said the guests who will stay at Swissotel Nusantara are those who are invited directly by the government, such as state guests or governors.

"Yes, for August 17, we have prepared several residences, yes, which can be used. Of course some (invitation guests) can also stay at the Nusantara Hotel. Later, right, alternate with the governors. The governors are also planning to stay here," said Endra to reporters at the Nusantara Hotel. IKN, Friday, August 9th.

Endra assessed that the core invitation guests would be centered to stay in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN. With the limited lodging, said Endra, the government has limited invited guests not to bring more than 1 companion.

"Yes, I think the core one can be accommodated, yes. But, for example, the governor brought another team, then the regent brought a team, the mayor (carried a team) could not be accommodated here. Even though in his letter we emphasize that the number of companions, right, is only 1," said Endra.

He hopes that invited guests will follow these directions. Given, there are only 127 rooms available in Switzerland Nusantara.

"Yes, hopefully it can be connected within this area all of them. So, there is no need to go to outside places anymore. From Balikpapan, right, we have also prepared a shuttle. I think the solution is like that via toll roads," he said.

According to Endra, the occupancy readiness for the celebration of the August 17 Ceremony has been completed and it remains only to adjust to the capacity of invited guests.

"This is what we overall see that the readiness of the residential infrastructure for the August 17 implementation is adjusted to the number of incoming invitations. So, at this time we can say that we are ready to accommodate invited guests here," said Endra.

"Here (Swissotel Nusantara) 127 rooms. If the occupancy was, right, there were 12 towers, 1 tower 60 units. 1 unit has 3 rooms that can be filled with 4-6 people," he added.
