JAKARTA - At least one soldier was killed and 18 others injured following an Israeli attack targeting an army center in the city of Al-Amiriya on the Al-Qalila-Tyre road in southern Lebanon.
Soldiers in Lebanon, as quoted by Reuters on Sunday, November 24, said the attack caused severe damage to the facility. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the incident.
Lebanese interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a statement that Israel had delivered
"A direct and bloody message rejecting all attempts to reach a ceasefire, to increase the presence of Lebanese soldiers in the south, and to implement UN resolution 1701".
"This aggressiveness is a matter of the international community, which is silent about what is happening in Lebanon," Mikati added in a statement.
